Production process:

1. Raw Material Preparation

Source qualified steel materials (e.g., universal beams, purlins, columns) complying with international standards (e.g., AS/NZS 3679.1 for Australia projects).

  • Conduct incoming inspection: verify material certificates, check dimensions, and perform mechanical property tests (tensile, bending) if required.
  • Store materials in a dry, ventilated area to prevent corrosion; classify and label by specification for easy retrieval.

2. Cutting & Fabrication

  • Use CNC cutting machines (plasma, flame, or laser cutting) for precise blanking of steel plates, profiles, and components.
  • Ensure cutting accuracy: dimensional tolerance within ±1mm for key components (columns, rafters).
  • Perform edge preparation (beveling) for welded joints to meet welding process requirements.

3. Drilling & Punching

  • Drill bolt holes using CNC drilling machines for purlins, connecting plates, and bolted moment connections.
  • Hole diameter tolerance controlled at H12 level; ensure hole positions align with design drawings (no offset >0.5mm).
  • Deburr holes and cut edges to remove burrs and sharp corners, avoiding damage to galvanized layers later.

4. Assembly & Welding

  • Assemble components (portal frames, columns, rafters) on assembly jigs to guarantee structural alignment.
  • Adopt bolted moment connections as designed; pre-install bolts (without final tightening) for on-site assembly convenience.
  • Weld critical joints using semi-automatic submerged arc welding or MIG welding; follow welding procedure specifications (WPS).
  • Control welding deformation: use clamping fixtures, sequential welding, and post-welding straightening if necessary.

5. Quality Inspection (Welding & Structure)

  • Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) for key welds: ultrasonic testing (UT) or radiography testing (RT) to detect internal defects.
  • Inspect overall structure dimensions: span, eave height, roof pitch, and bay spacing meet design requirements.
  • Verify bolt hole alignment and surface flatness of components to ensure on-site installation feasibility.

6. Surface Treatment

  • Perform shot blasting: remove rust, oil, and scale from steel surfaces to achieve Sa2.5 grade cleanliness.
  • Apply hot dip galvanization (per AS 1397 or ASTM A153) for corrosion protection; ensure zinc layer thickness ≥85μm.
  • For painted finishes (if required): apply anti-rust primer and topcoat after galvanization, with total film thickness ≥120μm.

7. Cladding & Insulation Preparation

  • Cut and fabricate roof/wall cladding (color steel sheets) according to structural dimensions; pre-drill mounting holes.
  • Cut insulation blankets (e.g., glass wool, rock wool) to match cladding size; package separately with moisture-proof film.
  • Label cladding panels and insulation rolls by installation position (roof, wall, carport) for on-site identification.

8. Final Assembly & Container Packing

  • Pre-assemble small sub-assemblies (e.g., door frames, carport supports) to reduce on-site work.
  • Clean all components to remove dust, oil, and debris before packing.
  • Pack components in 20ft/40ft containers: use steel brackets, foam padding, and straps to fix components, preventing collision during shipping.
  • Include packing list, installation drawings, material certificates, and galvanization test reports in each container.
