Seismic resistant prefabricated steel workshop, also known as pre-engineered steel industrial plant, is a standardized, customizable building solution specially designed for manufacturing factories, warehouses, processing bases, logistics hubs and heavy industrial operation zones. Its core load-bearing system adopts hot-rolled H-beams, C/Z purlins and high-tensile steel wall & roof panels, forming an integrated lightweight steel frame structure with outstanding anti-seismic, wind-resistant and load-bearing performance.
Different from traditional brick-concrete workshops, this prefabricated steel plant abandons heavy reinforced concrete frame walls. The entire main steel structure is prefabricated in professional factories, then transported to the construction site for fast assembly by bolt connection, without complicated concrete pouring, bricklaying and long curing cycles. The seismic design complies with international building seismic codes and national industrial construction standards, which can withstand magnitude 7–9 earthquakes, strong typhoons, heavy snow loads and concentrated crane loads for heavy machinery production lines.

The internal space of the steel workshop is completely open without dense load-bearing columns. Users can freely partition production areas, raw material storage areas, finished goods stacking areas, office compartments and staff rest zones according to production demands. Standard span ranges from 6m to 48m, and the building height can be adjusted from 4m to 16m to accommodate large production equipment, overhead traveling cranes, ventilation pipelines and large lifting devices. The exterior adopts color galvanized steel sandwich panels with rock wool or glass wool core, which brings excellent heat insulation, fireproof, waterproof and anti-corrosion effects, effectively reducing factory air-conditioning and heating energy consumption all year round.

The primary frame uses Q235B / Q355 high-strength H-section steel. Q355 steel has stronger yield strength, making it the preferred material for heavy-load workshops equipped with 5–50 ton overhead cranes. Secondary supporting components include cold-formed C purlins and Z purlins, which connect roof and wall panels to disperse wind, snow and vibration pressure evenly to the main frame, greatly improving the overall structural stability during earthquakes. All steel surfaces go through shot blasting rust removal and two layers of anti-rust primer + topcoat anti-corrosion treatment to resist acid rain, chemical dust and industrial corrosive gas in factory environments.

The lightweight characteristic of steel structures is the core advantage for anti-seismic performance. Steel has strong ductility; when seismic waves impact the building, the steel frame can produce slight elastic deformation to absorb seismic energy, avoiding the brittle collapse risk of concrete buildings. All bolted connections between steel parts reserve a small deformation buffer gap, which will not crack or break under violent ground shaking. Foundation matching also adopts lightweight independent foundation design to reduce ground shear force transmitted to the workshop during geological disasters.

Supporting steel accessories include steel column foot plates, anchor bolts, wind-resistant supports, tie rods, angle brackets, gutter steel, downpipes, steel staircases and crane beams. Every accessory is manufactured with unified standard molds to ensure dimensional matching of all components during on-site assembly, eliminating installation errors and hidden safety hazards.
